A warm welcome to this website, designed primarily as a wake-up call to disciples of Jesus Christ but also, dear Reader, to you if you have been advised to use it as a spur to buy a Bible in a modern translation and find your heart and mind strangely moved.

This website is an opportunity to consider the times in which we live from the viewpoint of heaven. It contains a book of addresses given by Rev. Theo M. Bamber who first agreed to print a series of sermons he had preached in 1927, and was prevailed upon to do the same in 1939 just weeks before the outbreak of World War 2 so it is interestingly ‘dated’ revealing something of the atmosphere and perspective of that year. This website goes live in 2018, the year in which the nation of Israel celebrated 70 years of its current history; 79 years since the author’s book was released.

Today very few young people appreciate that in the Word of God the re-establishment of that nation was prophesied long before Christ’s birth (His first advent) and that nation’s world-wide exile following its rejection of the man Jesus as being divine, God in human flesh, their promised Messiah. It is surely worth considering the implications of some Old Testament prophetic verses including from the book of Ezekiel chapter 36:22-36 and thinking seriously about the direction current events are pointing.

The book featured here deserves to be read by people who today have no opportunity to find a copy. Very few still exist and most are dogeared and disintegrating. TMB, as Rev. Theo M. Bamber was affectionately known, was convinced that every Christian ought to be engaged in the spiritual battle of winning souls, that the revelation about the end of this present age was a motivational truth with which to challenge every generation. For this reason he was happy to be known as a Second Adventist. He glimpsed a rapidly changing world but could not have imagined technology extending to Cyber warfare. And TMB might not have used this title had he been aware of what it today implies according to Wikipedia.

His trust was in nothing other than the Bible and the Holy Spirit’s guidance. We also need to consider God’s marvellous provision in giving us His Son to redeem us out of sin and Satan’s rule before the present world order is swept away at Christ’s Appearing. The Lord revealed to the apostle John this unimaginable end to human achievement and pride, and the equally unimaginable splendour of His Return, to motivate every thinking person to make sure they, and we, are in right relationship with Him, our Creator, Sustainer and coming Judge.

The preacher and author opens his heart to us in chapter 11 entitled The Two Advents so while this may not be your ‘normal read,’ God grant you an open heart and mind to re-evaluate what really matters today and into a future which none of us can control.

Revelation is a book which many devout Christians have interpreted differently. Nevertheless, it outlines future events which will become facts of His-story on the Day of God’s choosing. Dogmatism over detail spoils our testimony, so hold on to our Lord’s answer to the Jewish High Priest a few hours before His crucifixion as recorded in Matthew’s gospel chapter 26 verse 64 and believe HIM!
